Background

The rising pop star has presented a new single and music video “Me, Myself & I”. This catchy and uplifting track will undoubtedly become a constant element of summer playlists. The premiere of Mae Muller’s debut album – “Sorry I’m Late” – is coming on September 15th.

Mae has done a lot of self-reflection. Her latest single marks a turning point for her – both as an artist and as a woman. Mae vowed to herself to stop asking others for validation of her feelings – instead, she prefers to process them in songs like “Me, Myself & I”. Produced by NEIKED, the song starts with lyrics in her characteristic playful style. She tells a story about a series of failed relationships while enjoying her newly discovered independence.

The artist comments: – “Me, Myself & I” came naturally because that’s exactly how I felt. I became so aware that I realized I always had a problem with the need for male acceptance and thinking about how I am perceived by the opposite sex. I had to ask myself who I am doing this for. I’m tired of caring about other people’s opinions: for ten months, I lived in celibacy and focused on more important things. Going through this process showed me how happy I can be alone.

“Me, Myself & I” is the successor to the hit “I Wrote A Song”. The catchy song represented the UK at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. Previously, Mae released the singles “I Just Came To Dance” and “Better Days” (a popular collaboration with NEIKED and Polo G in the US). All four songs will be featured on the anticipated debut album “Sorry I’m Late” – a nod to the fans who waited for Mae as she grew into the role of a star.

Mae Muller has earned the title of the bold voice of a frustrated generation. So far, the artist has amassed over 2.7 billion streams and a host of dedicated fans. Her debut album will contain 17 songs, full of personal reflections as well as celebrations of female experiences. Mae analyzes love, loss, dating, and relationships with fearless honesty, confronting her own experiences, but also considering the frustrations of many contemporary young women. The new music reveals a much more sensitive side of Mae, which she dedicated to many women.
